On December 14, 2024, Prepare2Fly hosted the inaugural Holiday Hustle 5K Fun Run in Crockett, TX, with 64 enthusiastic participants braving the rainy weather to join the festivities. Despite the drizzle, the event’s cheerful holiday spirit shone through as participants of all ages showed up in festive attire, including colorful holiday leggings, reindeer antlers, red tutus, and more.
The race winner, Jayden Mendez, a talented young cross-country runner from Latexo, TX, led the pack with an impressive performance. We were also thrilled to welcome a lively group of cross-country runners from Sam Houston State University who brought additional energy to the event.
The Holiday Hustle is set to become an annual fundraiser for Prepare2Fly, and we’re already looking forward to making it even bigger and better next year! Thank you to everyone who participated and made this event such a success.

Inaugural Color Me Hoppy Fun Run
Hop into the fun on April 12, 2025, at the Color Me Hoppy Fun Run, a family-friendly event for all ages! This festive Easter-themed color run promises exciting surprises along the course and a vibrant atmosphere that everyone will enjoy.
The race will begin at the Crockett Civic Center, with registration opening on March 1, 2025. Be sure to secure your spot early for this unforgettable experience!
Come dressed in your best bunny tails and rabbit ears, ready to tackle a course featuring 3-4 color stations where participants will be showered in a dazzling array of colors. It’s the perfect way to celebrate the season while staying active and having a blast!
Prepare2Fly will have white shirts featuring the Color Run logo available for purchase prior to the event and on race day, so you can show off your colorful masterpiece after the run.
